PRE-SURGICAL PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Psychological assessment is conducted over one extensive evaluation appointment in which all relevant risk factors, protective factors, and diagnoses are identified. In cases wherein surgical readiness is in question, recommendations for achieving readiness are provided to both patient and referring provider. A finalized report is generated and forwarded to the surgical team presenting main findings and conclusions.

DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT

When diagnostic questions are a concern of either patient or referring provider, and primary care settings do not afford the time or opportunity to provide in-depth assessment, a full diagnostic evaluation goes a long way. This multi-method assessment process follows the biopsychosocial model and considers a patient's full history and current functioning in coming to appropriate diagnostic conclusions.

PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSULTATION

Appointments are available to both patients and providers for consultation regarding appropriate empirically supported treatments and interventions for various psychological diagnoses. Additionally, consultation services are available to those with questions of a clinical, forensic, or industrial-organizational nature.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Individual, couples, and family therapies are available for treatment of a variety of diagnoses and issues (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress). Treatment approaches include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapies (e.g., Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy), and other approaches depending on various diagnostic considerations.
